The Diamond Service is an international invoicing and payments service for the true self-employed contractor. Self-employed status is recognised in most countries as a
legitimate method through which an individual can supply their services.
In order to comply with a country's tax authority, it is often necessary for monies due for services
rendered to be processed through a properly constituted and managed limited company.

Is the Diamond service right for you? 
You qualify for our Diamond service if:
- You are legitimately self-employed and provide your services as a contractor
- You want a service that is quick to set up and operates only when you require it
- You want to calculate your own tax assessments and pay your taxes in the jurisdiction in which they are due.

How does it work? 
In the UK, recruitment agencies cannot pay self-employed individuals directly. The contractor
must be either employed by them and be taxed under the PAYE system or they must have a company
that invoices them on their behalf.
The Diamond Service gives you the best of both worlds providing you with the company structure that will invoice
your recruitment agency or end-client on your behalf while allowing you get paid gross.
As a self-employed contractor in the UK you must register as such and pay tax under 'Schedule
D'. Failure to register within three months of commencing work as a self-employed individual
will lead to penalties and fines from the Inland Revenue.
What do you need to do? 
Download and complete the simple application form and mail it to us. You
can be ready to invoice within 24 hours of receipt. We will send you a Welcome on Board pack with your contract that you need to sign and return to us.
- If you are contracting for the first time, tell your recruitment agency or end-client that you are working through a limited company.
Provide us with the their details, and we will forward all necessary documentation directly to them.
- If you are working through an agency on their PAYE system, tell them that you wish to
offer your services through a limited company. We will liaise with them to ensure a smooth
and efficient change in your status, and deal with any contractual changes.
- Then work as normal and send your timesheets to your agency - advising us of the
details by phone, fax or email to enable us to raise an invoice on your behalf.
How do you get paid? 
- On receipt of your timesheet or invoicing instruction, we will invoice your agency or end-client for the time you have worked.
- On receipt of our invoice, the recruitment agency will make payment to us through the
BACS system (the UK's electronic banking system). We will process this, deduct our 5% fee
and transfer your money to your account.
- You will have immediate access to your cleared funds if you are using the i4 Maestro
Debit Card, otherwise you will be paid by BACS which normally takes three working days to
clear in your account. On the day your payment is processed we will send you an SMS message
advising you when the funds will clear in your account.
- A self-billing invoice and remittance advice will be sent to you either by post or by
email (whichever you prefer) for each payment.
